“I wanted to start at home, but threw myself into the fire, so why not,” joked Clark.
This first season will be an important game for Clarke, who will be watching live in the WNBA for the first time.
“Obviously, there’s more you can do in practice, but you’re more aware of what other teams are doing,” Clark said. “I want to step on the court and then walk off the court tonight feeling like I’ve played like Kaitlyn Clarke and I’ve played my whole life.”
This game will be crucial for the Fever as they test out new lineups in the first and second teams. Indiana is the first team running back with Clark, guard Erika Wheeler, small forward Katie Lou Samuelson, forward Nalisa Smith and center Aliyah Baston.
