Skrillex, Fred Again.., Four Dead to Perform at Coachella Sunday Night – Rolling Stone

Skrillex, Fred Again.. and Four Dead will play a special set to fill the final slot for Coachella’s Weekend 2 Sunday night, according to multiple sources. Rolling Stone.

All three acts will play the currently listed 10:25 TBA slot on Coachella’s Sunday lineup after Blink-182’s headlining set, both slots replacing Frank Ocean after the singer left for Weekend 2.

Representatives for the festival, Skrillex and Fred Again, did not immediately respond to requests for comment. A representative for Four Dead declined to comment.

Fred Again.. teased the performance on Thursday, writing on Instagram, “I can’t believe I’m saying this again, but does anyone know where Sunny is? [Skrillex]]is there?” over a photo of him hiding a smile with his hand. He also shared a screenshot of a FaceTime call with the Four Dead. Later that evening, Fred Again… confirmed that the trio would play Coachella’s finale on Sunday. “Coachella. Sunday night,” the DJ wrote. “I didn’t think I’d be back with my brothers for a long time. Until last night. Here we are.

The three electronic acts recently released a collaboration titled “Baby Again” in March after a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden.

The new report comes just minutes after Coachella announced its schedule for Sunday’s festival, including the addition of Blink-182 as a headliner for Sunday’s lineup.

Variety It was first announced earlier this week that Blink-182 would be taking over the headline spot following Ocean’s cancellation. Reps for Ocean cited an ankle injury he suffered before his headlining set last week, which caused an abrupt change in his production.

Last year Coachella had to book a second headline change after Kanye West was replaced by The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia last year.

“It was messy. There’s some beauty in the mess. It’s not what I wanted to show, but I’m glad I’m out there and I’ll see you soon,” Ocean said in a statement earlier this week of his controversial set.
