Russell Wilson will sign with the Steelers. He declared it in X, Posts a clip of the team's logo Renegade Video.

He is still a member of the Broncos. He will be released on Wednesday. Later, he would sign with Pittsburgh. (Several reports have essentially confirmed the apparent import of Wilson's post.)

Presumably, he will sign a one-year deal worth the league minimum of $1.21 million. The Broncos must pay the remainder of his fully guaranteed salary of $39 million.

Kenny Pickett vs. It's a surprising turnaround for the Steelers, who have committed to Mason Rudolph. At $1.21 million, however, Wilson is a huge bargain. Also, coach Mike Tomlin has strong relationships with players who have ties to East Virginia, like Wilson.

The question is whether he can beat Pickett, a 2022 first-round pick the Steelers invested heavily in. Will the shore picket if approached?

Wilson believes it won't be close. Pickett is right; He does nothing miraculous. Wilson is still capable of making big plays. Combined with the team's defense, things could get very interesting at the confluence of the Ohio, Monongahela and Ohio rivers.
